Quad-Deck

Quad-Deck is a revolutionary Insulating Concrete Form designed to quickly build insulated, lower-mass, reinforced concrete suspended floors and roofs, typically cast-in-place, but also as tilt-up or pre-cast panels. Quad-Deck Panels are made of expanded polystyrene (EPS) insulation molded around perforated, Z-shaped, galvanized metal strips that act as both secondary shoring during construction and as attachment points for finishes. When the concrete has reached sufficient strength and the temporary shoring has been removed, the forms stay in place to function as insulation, space to run utilities, and backing for finishes.

Quad-Deck was invented to minimize the building mass, reduce shoring requirements, and increase the speed and efficiency of the construction of floors and roofs of durable, resilient and sustainable buildings that offer improved indoor Environmental Quality at lower Total Cost of Ownership than traditional buildings.

Available in any length required, up to a practical max. length of about 35′. Thicknesses from 7″ to 12 1/2″. Width is 2′. Concrete beam depth range from 5″ to 10 1/2″.

EPS Plugs

Each Quad-Deck order comes with the required amount of EPS Foam Plugs to cover the large holes on both ends of the panels to avoid concrete flow into the chases. Foam Plugs are sized to pressure-fit into holes; adhesive is optional.

EPS Top hats

Top hats further increase Quad-Decks effective beam depth beyond the standard Quad-Deck thicknesses, which in turn increases live load and clear span capacity of the floor or roof system. Custom ordered in any thickness required, they are glued to the tops of Quad-Deck panels at the jobsite.
