Project Spotlight: Rebuilding Lytton

In June 2021, the town of Lytton, British Columbia, was devastated by a wildfire that swept through the community, leaving a path of destruction and heartbreak in its wake. The disaster razed homes, businesses, and infrastructure, displacing residents and altering the landscape of this resilient community. Now, as Lytton begins the long and arduous journey of rebuilding, insulated concrete forms (ICFs) are playing a pivotal role in constructing homes that are not only resilient but also sustainable and energy-efficient.

Rebuilding Lytton is more than just restoring what was lost; it’s about creating a foundation for a stronger, more resilient future. Innovative building materials can help ensure that Lytton rises from the ashes as a model of sustainability and disaster resilience. Homes built with insulated concrete forms are less likely to ignite, offering enhanced protection against future wildfires. This enhanced safety can provide peace of mind to residents who have already endured the trauma of losing their homes.

At Performance ICF we are excited to be supplying Quad-Lock ICF for a new home in Lytton. Can’t wait to see this community thrive once again!
